A new corner pizza joint is on tap for the Sugarland Run area of Sterling. It’s called Rai’s Pizza and it will open in the Richland Business Center off Route 7. For those in the area, that’s the same center with the Wingstop and Mi Hacienda restaurants.
The spot is the former location of New York City Pizza. The new owners are coming in with a new name and new recipes. According to social media, they are already hard at work testing out their pie making skills.
Rai’s Pizza is targeting an October 1 opening.
This is literally the 3rd pizza place in that spot… I hope it sticks… But all the other resturants in that spot have been good and not stuck… Hope it works out.
It’s a crappy location although, this place has a ton of Facebook followers. Not sure why, it’s just pizza and subs, same old same old but, good for them.
