Just last week, The Burn told you about the new barbecue joint coming to downtown Leesburg — Schmidt’s Barbecue — from the same folks behind the popular restaurants SideBar and More Better Restaurant & Beer Garden. While their team moves fast — the grand opening of the new restaurant is today, Friday, September 18.
Schmidt’s is opening at 14 Loudoun Street SE. The historic building has most recently been the site of a series of fun pop-up bars with various themes, such as the Christmas bar Fa La La.
The menu is full of BBQ staples such as pulled pork, brisket, ribs as well as wings, smoked chicken and salmon and a short rib grilled cheese that’s high on our list. You can see the full menu here. Schmidt’s is offering dine-in and patio seating as well as carry out and delivery.
