New Ashburn restaurant wants your help choosing a logo

Bourbon Bayou Kitchen is under construction at the Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center.

As regular readers of The Burn know, a new Louisiana-themed restaurant call Bourbon Bayou Kitchen is coming to Ashburn soon. It’s under construction as we speak. Now, the team behind the restaurant are asking for the public’s help in choosing a logo.

The restaurant is going up in the Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center — has created a website with two different versions of its logo. People can click on the one they prefer. “The goal of this is to have fun and give the community a chance to take part in our journey,” said Darwin Navarrete, a spokesperson for the owners. You can vote on the logos here.

We first broke the news about Bourbon Bayou Kitchen back in February. At the time, they said they looked forward to bringing “authentic flavors from the bayous of Louisiana” to Loudoun. Some of the possible menu items included boudin balls, gumbo, jambalaya, and shrimp and oyster po’ boys. The restaurant is targeting a Spring 2021 opening.

I’m stunned by the stupid. We’re currently in a pandemic, places are struggling to survive, and these folks are opening a new eatery? WTF!
