Some sweet news for Leesburgians — a new gourmet cookie shop is taking over a space in a busy shopping center. It’s called Crumbl Cookies and it’s coming to the Kohls/Target shopping center on Edwards Ferry Road.
Signs have gone up in the windows of a space tucked in between the Potbelly and the Panda Express. That’s in a retail building in front of the Kohls store, near the Chick-fil-A. The space used to be Great Clips hair salon.
Crumbl Cookies got its start in Utah in 2017 and now has more than 149 locations in 28 states. The concept features two staple cookies that are always on the menu — a warm chocolate chip cookie and a chilled sugar cookie. Then they have a line-up of another 120+ types of cookies that constantly rotate with different ones offered each week. A bevy of ice cream flavors are also on the menu. Besides in store sales, Crumbl Cookies also offers curbside pickup and even local delivery.
The first Crumbl Cookies in Virginia opened in Vienna last year. It appears Leesburg will be only the second location in the state. No word yet when this new store will open, so stay tuned.
