Nature cam captures fox exploring snowy Ashburn

Ashburn Village resident Donna Eberle took the fun image with a nature cam positioned near her home.

Every once in a while, The Burn comes across an especially striking or interesting photo and we like to share it with the community. We thought this image — a fox exploring the snowy landscape — captured by Ashburn Village resident Donna Eberle fit the bill perfectly.

According to Eberle, it was taken early this morning — Monday, February 1 — around 12:30 a.m. It was snapped by a nature cam she has mounted near her home, which is near the Loudoun School for Advanced Studies in Old Ashburn. “The foxes are nightly regulars and bark outside in our court,” she told us. “I’ve also had the pleasure of hosting opossums, racoons, skunks and tons of deer.”

Thanks to Eberle for sharing her fun photo. If you have an amazing or fascinating or hilarious photo — weather, nature, something really oddball — and you think it will make us say “wow,” send it to .
