Oak Health Club planning May opening in Ashburn

The club is a new brand from the people at AARP, the organization for older Americans.

The new Oak Health Club coming to the Riverside Square shopping center in Ashburn has announced it will open its doors in May. The fitness center is noteworthy because it is a new brand coming from AARP, the organization for older Americans.

It’s the first Oak Health Club location from the organization anywhere in the country. The Burn first broke the news about the club way back in early 2019. At the time, we heard the club would cater to clients ages 40 and over, but we haven’t been able to confirm that. We reached out to Oak Health Club earlier this week for more details on the club, but have not gotten a response.

However, the new website for the club provides some info. Oak Health Club will offer “personalized health plans with a dedicated coach,” “innovative fitness equipment,” “a cafe offering delicious, locally sourced meals,” “access to a dietician,” “an expansive outdoor green space,” and “luxury lockers rooms and a state-of-the-art spa featuring Cryotherapy.”

Riverside Square is the new shopping center with the Texas Roadhouse steakhouse that has opened on the north side of Route 7 just east of the Ashburn Village Boulevard intersection.
