A new art studio just for kids is opening up in Ashburn’s Goose Creek Village center. It’s called Kidcreate Studio and it’s coming to a space on the ground floor of the new Heights apartments that have gone up at the intersection of Belmont Ridge Road and Sycolin Road. The studio will be right by the new Weathervane Coffee shop that is getting ready to open there as well.
Kidcreate is a national franchise with nearly 20 locations in 11 states. The studio specializes in art classes, camps and art-themed birthday parties for kids. They offer classes for different ages and skill levels — Kiddoodlers (18 months to 3 years), Kidartists (3 to 6 years), Kidcreators (5 to 9 years) and Kidmasters (9 to 12 years).
Kidcreate Studio Ashburn has already been operating since last year — offering art kits for children social-distancing at home, and conducting art activities at private parties. Now, they are going brick-and-mortar. Construction on the new space in Goose Creek Village is already underway and the owners tell us they are aiming for a mid-spring opening.
