After 22 years, The Little Gym in Ashburn announces its closing

The gym first opened in Ashburn in 1999.

Sad news for a generation of Ashburn children who grew up attending classes at The Little Gym. The kids’ fitness and gymnastics facility in the Ashburn Farm Market Center (sometimes called Junction Plaza) has announced that it is closing. The gym originally opened in 1999.

“It is with great sadness we share that after 22 wonderful years, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors effective March 6th,” the Little Gym team wrote in an email to members. “This was not a decision that came easily, but due to business reasons, it is the best and only option for us at this time.”

The email goes on to say that The Little Gym is consolidating its operations with The Little Gym location at Dulles Landing, south of Brambleton. The Little Gym brand was founded in 1976 and has more than 300 locations in 31 countries.

I wanted to thank everyone that has walked through the doors of The Little Gym of Ashburn. For the last 5 and a half years it has been my second home. I am deeply saddened but the next chapter awaits.

Again, thank you to all our TLG Families

My grandkids Blake and Avery loved the Little Gym and Mr Damien and Mr Robert. We were so saddened to hear of your closing. Good luck to you both as you continue on to your next chapter.
