Night Shift cocktail lounge formally opens next week in Leesburg

The new second-floor lounge features a menu of craft cocktails.

The folks behind the popular SideBar restaurant and bar in downtown Leesburg are officially launching a new cocktail bar on the second floor of their space. It’s called Night Shift and will feature a small, carefully curated menu of elegant cocktails featuring high end liquors.

The Night Shift concept has technically been open for a few months, housed in the carriage house behind SideBar. This was temporary space while the upstairs was getting refurbished. Now, the official Night Shift lounge is ready to welcome customers, starting on Friday, April 2. Here’s a first look at the brand new Night Shift menu.

One cool feature they plan to add — an illuminated signal — like a Bat-Signal — that will shine down on the sidewalk below to indicate when Night Shift is open.

Meanwhile, once the carriage space is vacated, the SideBar team will be turning that into a more casual, summer type bar called the Bungalow. It’s all part of SideBar creating specific identities and brands for its different spaces.

The new bars are the latest in a series of ever-changing concepts that area restauranteurs bring to downtown Leesburg — barbecue, street tacos, oysters, cathead biscuits, and grilled cheese sandwiches to name a few. In the past, there’s been a Maryland-style crab house, Christmas-themed bar, a meatball-centric restaurant and more.

I noticed you used my photo for your story on night shift cocktails. (The zest photo) Could you please give me credit for the photo. I don’t mind that you used it but I would like recognition for it.

Hi Josh. We have added your photo credit to the story. It appears at the bottom of the story as we can’t attach a credit line to the featured (top) photo. We always try and give proper photo credit, and got those from Night Shift, where we didn’t see any photo credit. Our apologies.
