Planet Fitness, the low-cost gym and fitness center famous for its “no lunks” motto, is coming to Leesburg later this year. The gym will take over a space that includes the former Gold’s Gym spot in the Leesburg Plaza on East Market Street.
The nearly 15,000 s.f. space will be turned into the latest location for the New Hampshire-based brand that has more than 2,000 locations around the country. Planet Fitness caters to the first-time and casual gym goer, stressing a “judgement free” atmosphere.
PF has moved aggressively into Loudoun County in recent years, opening a large, new location off State Road 28 and, more recently, one in Ashburn in the Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center. A spokesperson for Planet Fitness confirmed the news and said they expect the Leesburg location to open Fall 2021.
