The long awaited Silver Diner restaurant in Ashburn finally has a tentative opening date. If all stays on track, the new location off Loudoun County Parkway near One Loudoun is looking at opening its doors on June 16.
It was way back in August 2018 when The Burn first reported that the brand was looking at the spot for a future restaurant. Construction started in 2019, then stopped for many months due to COVID, before resuming late last year.
The Silver Diner sign was recently mounted on the art deco tower over the entrance. The restaurant is going up next to the CVS drugstore at the southeast corner of LoCo Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway. It’s part of the slowly developing Commonwealth Center that includes the nearby iFly and Topgolf facilities and the upcoming XCAL Shooting Sports & Fitness club.
The June 16 opening date for Silver Diner is still tentative. Anyone who knows anything about construction and opening a new business knows there can be last minute delays. Nevertheless, the end is in sight.
Great news 📰 I’ll be there!
’tis the beginning that’s in sight, not the end.
