New sign and new look for Good Eats Emporium in Sterling

The restaurant features four (or more) different cuisine concepts under one roof.

The Good Eats Emporium has gotten a facelift since it debuted in Sterling last October, and more recently, a new sign has been added to the purple and mint green exterior. It’s a far cry from the look of the Plaza Azteca and TGIFridays restaurants that used to call that spot home.

As regular readers know, Good Eats Emporium is a new concept from the folks at Great American Restaurants. That’s the company behind the popular Sweetwater Tavern as well as Jackson’s Mighty Fine Food in Reston and many other restaurants in the region. Good Eats shares a parking lot with the Sterling Sweetwater Tavern as well as an adjacent Olive Garden.

Good Eats feels like a standard sit-down restaurant and diners are presented with a single menu — but it’s actually four different concepts under one roof. The menu features dishes from the bakery Best Buns as well as Taqueria Loca, Stupid Good BBQ and Good Eats Burgers & Wings. Fred’s Chicken Shack, a carryout and delivery only “ghost kitchen” concept also operates from the Good Eats kitchen.

Besides the Sterling location, there is a second Good Eats Emporium located in Fairfax Corner on Grand Commons Avenue. The Sterling location includes a bar and an outdoor patio.
