Raymer’s Candies makes move from Ashburn to Middleburg

The store, which closed at One Loudoun in 2020, has reopened on South Madison Street.

So the rumors were true — the Raymer’s Homemade Candies store that closed in Ashburn last year has been reborn in quaint, downtown Middleburg. While an official grand opening is yet to be scheduled, we’re told the doors are already open at the new Raymer’s location.

The Pennsylvania-based gourmet candy shop made a splash when it opened a satellite location at One Loudoun in Ashburn back in 2018. Members of the Raymer family live here in Loudoun and wanted to carry on the tradition. But the OL store closed last December. Word quickly spread that they were looking at relocating to Middleburg, the tiny Loudoun County town known for its downtown filled with artisan shops and great restaurants.

Now comes confirmation from the Raymer’s team that they have opened at 19 South Madison in Middleburg, just a block or so off the main drag. Right now, they are open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

The Raymer’s shop will sell everything from fan favorites like chocolate covered pretzels and sea salt caramels to truffles, toffee, chocolate bark, cherry cordials and more. You can see the full Raymer’s candy selection here.
