The grand opening of a new candy colored indoor kids playground in Ashburn is quickly approaching. Much of the play land equipment is in place, furniture and fixtures are going in and, recently, the sign went up over the door at the long awaited Hyper Kidz.
The Burn first told you about Hyper Kidz way back in September 2019. Like so many projects in the area, progress seemed to slow in the early days of the pandemic, but roared back to life this year. Now, according to Hyper Kidz social media posts, they expect to announce an opening date soon.
Billing itself as “the ultimate indoor playground,” Hyper Kidz is anchored by a huge indoor play area done up in a candy land theme with bright colors, slides, soft foam equipment and more. The playground also has different zones featuring play equipment appropriate for different age groups. There are concessions and party rooms as well.
“We believe that there is a need for play facilities that offer a wide range of play options for children other than inflatables and trampolines,” reads the Hyper Kidz website. “Our goal was to create a play space in which children of different age groups can have fun together under (one) roof. There are few facilities that can meet the play needs of both a 2-year-old and a 10-year-old.”
The 17,000 s.f. Hyper Kidz facility is coming to Beaumeade Circle off Loudoun County Parkway. Stay tuned for details on the grand opening.
