A new carryout and delivery pierogi restaurant is rapidly expanding in Northern Virginia, and Leesburg will be one of its new locations. It’s called Rogi and it carries a menu of amazing sounding pierogis as well as other dishes.

Rogi will be a new tenant in ChefScape, the commercial kitchen at the Village at Leesburg. They will offer carry out food as well as delivery up to a certain distance. Rogi’s pierogi will also be available to order when you are hanging out at the ChefScape bar.

Pierogi (also spelled pierogies) are dumplings that are filled with all types of savory ingredients, then boiled and sometimes pan fried. They are most closely associated with the cuisine of Poland and other Central European countries.

The menu at Rogi offers a dozen different types of pierogi. There is the classic recipe stuffed with mashed potatoes, bacon, cheddar and chives. But they also have pierogi filled with bratwurst and sauerkraut, pastrami and Swiss, beef brisket and garlic, Maryland Blue crab with cream cheese and Old Bay, and many more. They also have a sweet pierogi with blueberries, cream cheese, lemon and vanilla.

Besides pierogi, Rogi will also offer sandwiches, including a Reuben, and various soups and side dishes. You can see the full Rogi menu here.

Rogi has had an operation in a food court in Arlington where it was known as Zofia’s Kitchen. Now, they have rebranded as Rogi and will officially start operating in Leesburg — their second location — this Thursday, July 22. The brand is looking at a third location in the Tysons area.
