Olive’s Pizza quietly opens its doors in Leesburg

A new pizza place called Olive’s Pizza has quietly opened for business in Leesburg. It’s located in the Virginia Village shopping center off Catoctin Circle SE.

The shop opened its doors back in May. The spot it’s in has been a series of pizza places over the years. It was apparently previously Vicello Pizza and before that, Vocelli’s Pizza. We’re told back in the day there was a Little Caesar’s in that spot.

The menu at Olive’s includes pizzas on a traditional crust, a whole wheat crust or a gluten-free crust. There are also wings, wraps, sandwiches, appetizers and more. You can see the full Olive’s Pizza menu here.

It’s not clear what the relationship between the previous Vicello Pizza is and the new Olive’s Pizza. Perhaps it’s the same owners, or perhaps the new owners just kept some of the same marketing materials. They both used the phrase “Best Pizza in Town” on their menu. And look at these lines below.

“Struggling to find good food at a good price led two friends who love good food to start a pizza restaurant. They created the first Vicello Pizza in Leesburg VA. Vicello Pizza strives to serve the best pizza possible,” reads the the still-active Vicello Pizza Facebook page. Meanwhile, here’s the same line from the Olive’s Pizza website. “Struggling to find good food at a good price led two friends who love good food to start a pizza restaurant. They created the first Olive’s Pizza in Leesburg VA. Olive’s Pizza strives to serve the best pizza possible.”
