A new indoor playground for kids that’s been in the works for more than two years officially opens its doors today — Friday, August 13. The name of the new wonderland is Hyper Kidz Ashburn.
The Burn first reported that Hyper Kidz was coming to Loudoun way back in September 2019. There wasn’t much news in much of 2020 as the pandemic slowed down burgeoning businesses everywhere. But things picked up and moved into high gear earlier this year.
The 17,000 s.f. playground might make parents think of Willy Wonka’s candy factory. Colorful candy and ice cream themes and decor are everywhere in Hyper Kidz. There are slides and climbing walls, swings, towers and more. The facility is open to kids from zero to 13.
Hyper Kidz Ashburn is located on Beaumeade Circle off Loudoun County Parkway in Ashburn. This appears to be the third Hyper Kidz location. According to the brand’s website, there is one in Baltimore and one in Columbia, Maryland. Another one is in the works for Prince George’s County, Maryland as well as one in Richmond.
