A new coffee shop is in the works for a spot near the Leesburg Airport. It’s called SR Coffee Co. and it’s opening in the Leesburg Tech Park off Sycolin Road. That’s across the street from the airport and the Sheriff’s Office.
SR Coffee got its start as a mobile coffee trailer. They roast their own coffee and sell it by the bag at area farmers’ markets and other locations. They also offer freshly brewed coffee beverages as well.
Now, they are making the move to brick-and-mortar with a roasting facility at the Sycolin Road location that will also have a retail component. There will be a commercial kitchen where breakfast and lunch items will be prepared along with hot beverages. A few tables will be available for customers on site, but the SR Coffee menu will focus on carry out and delivery.
And SR Coffee won’t be alone. They are partnering on the space with Bar Therapy, a local purveyor of gourmet cocktail and mocktail mixes, made with fresh fruit and other ingredients. Bar Therapy will sell its wares from the space as well.
Construction is well underway and equipment is arriving, but an opening date hasn’t been set in stone yet. Right now, we are told they are aiming for late October or early November to open their doors.
