A brand new 7-Eleven is open for business in Sterling and today — Friday, September 17 — is its official grand opening. The convenience store and gas station is part of the new Guilford Station center at the corner of Atlantic Boulevard and West Church Road, just east of State Road 28.

The 7-Eleven includes six dual gas pumps, so a total of 12 fueling stations. Inside, they have an array of hot and cold grab-and-go foods, as well as a wine display. Plus all the usual 7-Eleven accoutrements.

The store quietly opened to customers a few days ago, while the official grand opening has been scheduled for today. As part of the celebration, they are offering “5 Days of Freebies” and giving out various items for free on certain days in the coming weeks, including coffee, a slurpee and a slice of pizza.

Besides the 7-Eleven, Guilford Station is the home to an Enterprise rental car operation. It’s also been announced that one of the first Human Bean locations in the mid-Atlantic is coming to the center. The Burn first told you about the drive-thru coffee shop’s plans back in May. Other tenants for the center are pending.
