Quickway Japanese Hibachi, a fast-casual restaurant serving Asian dishes, has opened its doors in Sterling. It’s the first Loudoun County location for the regional brand.

Your first impression when you open the door might be how large the space is. The 2,500 s.f. space — with a large dining room — seems cavernous compared to many quick service restaurants. The ordering and pick-up counter is at the back of the dining room.

Quickway has more than 30 locations around the DC surburbs. The restaurant features a menu that includes chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp and salmon cooked on a hibachi-style grill, then served with vegetables, rice or noodles. There are also sushi rolls, bento boxes, poke bowls and more. You can see  the full Quickway menu here.

Quickway can be found in what’s known as the Aldi Center. That’s the Aldi supermarket anchored shopping plaza at the intersection of Route 7 and Palisade Parkway in Sterling. It took over the spot vacated by Next Day Blinds and is next door to a Chipotle restaurant.

Last night, we were on our way to Aldi to pick up dinner. We saw the Quickway and chose to support a new local business instead.

We left angry. Disgusted. A health inspector should get there with the quickness. At a minimum, one would expect clean surfaces. Anywhere.

    Countryside deserves a better effort.
