It looks like Loudoun County is getting another Cold Stone Creamery location. The Burn has learned that the ice cream shop brand is planning on opening in the Belmont Chase shopping center in Ashburn.
Belmont Chase is located off Claiborne Parkway, just south of the Route 7. Major tenants there include Whole Foods and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant.
Cold Stone is reportedly taking the space between Chipotle and Floyd’s 99 Barbershop. The previous tenant in that space was a dry cleaners.
Each Cold Stone Creamery location features a large variety of ice cream flavors which are usually scooped onto an actual chilled stone countertop. There, toppings and ingredients are added in such as candy bars, cookies and other sweets and blended with the ice cream before being placed in a cup or cone and served to the customer.
Popular ice cream flavors include Cake Batter, Sweet Cream, Classic Cookie Dough and Cotton Candy.
The Cold Stone brand was founded in 1988 and currently has more than 900 locations around the United States. According to the brand’s website, there are four locations currently in Loudoun County — one in Leesburg, one in Brambleton, and two in Sterling. The Belmont Chase location will make five.
