Work is underway on the much anticipated Ahso Cellars at the Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn and The Burn has your first look at the layout. The new bar and wine shop will be a sister store to the popular Ahso Restaurant a few doors down.
We first broke the news about Ahso Cellars late last year. The concept includes a wine, cheese and charcuterie shop coupled with a wine and beer bar. The space will also be available for private events, with food being catered from its sister restaurant close by.
“Expect an extensive wine and beer selection curated by chef/sommelier Jason Maddens and team,” the Ahso Cellars website reads. “Share a bottle at the bar, and try some cheese and house-made charcuterie. Join us for tastings and classes periodically.”
Features at Ahso Cellars will include:
- a rolling bar that can be pushed back against the wall to make room for special events
- an onsite cheese shop
- a chilled, glass-enclosed charcuterie room
- a wine wall featuring wine displayed on a grid representing the regions of the world
- soil samples on display from vineyards represented in the shop
Construction is continuing apace at Ahso Cellars and the ABC license is in the works. No firm opening date has been set yet, but Maddens says best case scenario will be late November or early December.
