Leesburg’s new Floor & Decor design center superstore is ready to open its doors. The company has announced its first Loudoun County location will open next Thursday, November 11.
The Burn was the first media outlet to report the news that Floor & Decor was coming to Leesburg — way back in March 2020. Floor & Decor has taken over the former building left vacant by Walmart when the retailer moved to its new spot at Compass Creek.
Since construction work started earlier this year, the space has been undergoing a makeover — inside and out.
The address for Floor & Decor is 950 Edwards Ferry Road. That’s in the Shenandoah Square shopping center, which also includes the Leesburg Public House restaurant, as well as a Burger King, an IHOP and other retailers.
The new flooring store is huge — a 97,000 s.f. warehouse and showroom specializing in hard-surface flooring, including tile, natural wood, natural stone, laminate, and vinyl plank. It also carries many of the tools and supplies needed for flooring projects.
Floor & Decor is an Atlanta-based retailer with more than 140 locations in 33 states. At the time it opens next week, the new Leesburg store is expected to employ roughly 50 full-time and part-time employees.
