Leesburg is getting a new smoothie shop. The national brand Robeks will be opening a location there sometime late next year or early 2023.
The Burn has learned that Robeks has signed a lease for a spot in the still under-construction Shops at Russell Branch shopping center. That’s the new project going up in front of the Lowe’s Home Improvement store at the intersection of Russell Branch Parkway SE and Battlefield Parkway.
The center already includes an ALDI grocery store and a Virginia Auto & Tire shop. A BriteWash Auto Wash is under construction and a gas station is coming as well.
Plans call for three other new retail buildings to go up as part of the Shops at Russell Branch, and the new Robeks will be in one near the ALDI store. There will also be a La Vie Nails salon there as well.
The Robeks brand was founded in 1996 and there are now more than 80 locations around the country.
There are currently two Robeks locations in Sterling (Cascades Marketplace, Dulles 28 Centre) and one in Ashburn (Broadlands Village Center). The new Leesburg location will be the fourth in Loudoun County.
The Leesburg location is being opened by Ashburn residents Kenny and Jancy Templeton. They own the Broadlands and Cascades stores as well.
The menu at Robeks focuses on a variety of smoothies including Classic Smoothies, Superfood Smoothies, Acai Smoothies and more. They also have fruit and grain bowls and a recently introduced line of toasts, including Classic Avocado Toast and Acai Almond Butter Toast. You can see the full Robeks menu here.
The new building at the Shops at Russell Branch isn’t scheduled to be finished until Fall 2022, so that’s why the opening of the Robeks isn’t likely to happen before late 2022 or early 2023.
