Trains running on Silver Line extension as testing begins

If you saw trains rolling on Metro’s Silver Line extension to Dulles International Airport last week, you weren’t imagining things.

Our news partners at InsideNova.com are reporting the project hit another milestone last week when officials ran multiple trains throughout the corridor, simulating actual service.

“This was a great day of joy to see those trains running up and down,” said Marcia McAllister, communications manager for the Dulles Corridor Metro Rail Project.

Officials announced last month that the Silver Line extension in Fairfax and Loudoun counties, which has been delayed several years, has reached substantial completion.
