A new restaurant specializing in Louisiana-style cuisine has announced it will open in Ashburn on February 1. We’re talking about Bourbon Bayou Kitchen, which is just wrapping up construction in the Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center.

It was nearly two years ago — February of 2020 — when The Burn broke the news about the new restaurant.

Here’s how the Bourbon Bayou describes itself on its website: “Bourbon Bayou Kitchen is a locally owned eccentric establishment specializing in bourbon, whiskey, craft cocktails, local craft beers with a cuisine of the Louisiana Bayou. Our menu will highlight popular and exquisite southern dishes from a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetarian recipes.”

The restaurant is going into a stand-alone building in Ashbrook Marketplace, next door to the Rubino’s Pizzeria. The Lidl-anchored shopping plaza is located near the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Russell Branch Parkway, just south of Route 7.

Details on the menu are still being kept under wraps, but a few dishes have been shared on social media including alligator nachos, banana pudding and beignets.
