Signs go up at First Watch restaurant in South Riding

Signs of progress at the new First Watch restaurant coming to South Riding. The signs have gone up and we have a few more details about the new location.

The Burn was the first news outlet to report that the popular brand — known for its breakfast and brunch menu — was coming to the South Riding Market Square shopping plaza. That’s just south of Highway 50 at Loudoun County Parkway. It’s taken over the building that used to be home to a Ruby Tuesday restaurant.

In the past few days, the First Watch signs have been mounted on the building, while construction continues inside. The roughly 5,100 s.f. restaurant will include a bar as the brand expands its cocktail program.

First Watch bills itself as the “Daytime Cafe.” Locations are usually open from 7 a.m., to 2:30 p.m. covering the breakfast and lunch hours.

The company has more than 400 locations across the country. The first First Watch in Loudoun County opened last May in Leesburg. South Riding is the second Loudoun location. While a firm opening date hasn’t been set yet, we’re told they are aiming for sometime this spring.
