We are less than two weeks away from the grand opening of the new and improved Sterling Community Center. The center will hold an open house the weekend of March 5.
The center — which originally opened in 1975 — has undergone a complete refurbishment as well as an expansion. The project included:
- new patio with public seating
- an outdoor lawn area
- a renovated pavilion
- the addition of an outdoor amphitheater
- a teen recreation and gaming room
- expanding the gym and other areas
The now 20,700 s.f. Sterling Community Center is located at 120 Enterprise Street. It will be open from Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the open house, and again on Sunday, March 6 from noon to 5 p.m. Regular operating hours start Monday, March 7.
