Gogi Go Go Korean BBQ opens this week in Ashburn

A new Korean BBQ restaurant opens in Ashburn this week. It’s called Gogi Go Go Korean BBQ Bowl & Ramen and it opens its doors Monday, February 28, in the Goose Creek Village shopping plaza.

It was just over a month ago that The Burn first reported the news that Gogi Go Go was coming to the community. In that time, the Gogi Go Go team has launched a website, gotten the sign mounted over the door and readied itself to open for business. That’s fast work in the restaurant world.

While the words “Korean BBQ” sometimes conjure up visions of tables with cooktops in the center where customers cook the meats they order, that’s not the version here. The specialty at Gogi Go Go — as the name implies — will be bowls and ramen.

The word “gogi” means “meat” in Korean, and the menu features BBQ bowls filled with meats like ribeye steak, short rib, pork shoulder, and more, served with veggies, and a variety of toppings.

There are also dosirak, which are more or less a Korean version of the Japanese bento box. And there are bibimbap rice bowls, as well as ramen bowls, soups, fried rice and more. You can check out the full Gogi Go Go menu here.

The space where Gogi Go Go is opening is the former home to the Thai Bistro restaurant, and before that the East Wind China Bistro.

When they open Monday, customers will find a small dining room for dine-in service , and the restaurant will also offer carry-out food as well.
