Retro signs go up at new Burger King in Ashburn

The new Burger King coming to north Ashburn is one step closer to completion today. Retro-looking signs were installed on the facade — plus we have a rough idea when it will open.

The community’s latest BK is in the Riverside Commons shopping center off Riverside Parkway. That’s on the north side of Route 7, east of the intersection with Ashburn Village Boulevard.

It’s the same center with the Oak Health Club, the Texas Roadhouse and the Black Hog BBQ.

Old timers may recognize the new logo and colors that were unveiled in 2021. Orange half ovals and dark red letters form a bun and burger patties. They are a throwback — appearing very similar to the logos used by BK from 1969 to 1999.

While an official opening date hasn’t been announced yet, keep your eyes peeled. We’re told — if all goes smoothly — it should be in the next two weeks.

Friendly reminder that Burger King still has over 800 locations continuing to do business in Russia as of March 10th. That is 15 days after the invasion of Ukraine.
