A archery business called Double X Archery is working on opening a new bow-and-arrow based shop and target range in Ashburn. They hope to have it ready to go later this year.
According to online documents, Double X Archery “will be the premier Archery Retail Pro Shop and Indoor Archery Range in Ashburn.”
It’s goes on to say their mission “is to provide our customers with a family friendly environment offering top notch customer service, quality archery products and a forum for people to learn and practice the skills of archery.”
Currently, they are exploring opening the center near One Loudoun in a single-story flex-use space on Ashbrook Place.
The plans for Double X include 14 archery lanes where beginner and experienced archers alike can practice their skills.
There will also be an approximately 600 s.f retail pro shop selling bows, crossbows, arrows, fletching, targets, and many other items.
Assuming all goes smoothly, Double X Archery has said they are anticipating a Summer 2022 opening.
They should do what those Axe throwing and bowling places do and setup a restaurant/bar inside so people can make it a special event to do.
@Buddah–yea, that sounds really smart. Let’s serve alcohol at a place where people are using lethal weapons! Genius! Bet that model would work well at gun ranges too, huh?
Hey Mike, they actually do serve alcohol at places with axe-throwing. They say it’s similar to going to a bowling alley. Also, the new gun range across from One Loudoun will serve alcohol. Members swipe a card and are cut off from shooting from the rest of the day.
