Ashburn Magazine

Soccer star shines in latest issue of Ashburn Magazine

The latest issue of Ashburn Magazine is out this weekend and the cover story profiles local soccer star Emily Fox, who grew up in Ashburn and attended Stone Bridge High School. She’s now a professional soccer player and also plays with the U.S. Women’s National Team.

The new issue is chock full of other interesting stories as well, including a new restaurant serving up alligator, a local man who has spent 40 years appearing as an extra in movies and TV shows, and a look at the Little Free Libraries that pepper our community and spread the love of reading.

There’s also a story for history buffs about the path that John Wilkes Booth fled after he shot Abraham Lincoln 157 years ago next month — and the historical sites in DC, Maryland and Virginia you can visit along the way.

Ashburn Magazine — created, written and edited by real journalists doing real magazine journalism — is mailed to more than 13,000 homes across Ashburn and can be found at dozens of locations around the community — including the Ashburn Giant stores, the Ashburn and Brambleton public libraries, the Ashburn Ice House, Blend Coffee Bar and the Barnes & Noble at One Loudoun. Look for it this coming weekend. A full list of locations can be found here.
