It’s almost opening day for The Ballpark in Ashburn

The sign went up today at the new baseball-themed indoor entertainment venue The Ballpark.

The facility — which some have compared to Top Golf only for baseball instead of golf — is scheduled to open next month in Ashburn.

The Burn first broke the news about The Ballpark nearly a year ago — in April 2021. It will center around high-tech batting simulators and real batting cages where guests can have a variety of experiences.

This includes both recreational batting — friends getting together for drinks and competing against each other — as well as athletes using the facility for practice and skills training.

There will also be a full-service restaurant and bar called Home Plate, an outdoor patio, a store with baseball apparel and accessories called Baseballism, and space for private events.

The Ballpark is coming to the Lexington 7 project along Riverside Parkway east of Ashburn Village Boulevard.

It’s immediately next door to the Riverside Square plaza — home to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant, the Oak Health Club and other businesses.

If the schedule stays on track, The Ballpark is planning to open its doors on April 11.
