Video of bank demolition for future Raising Cane’s

Lots of folks in the area are excited about the upcoming Raising Cane’s restaurant in Sterling. It’s been a long time coming. The Burn first broke the news way back in September 2020, and work on the site at the Dulles Eastern Plaza just started earlier this month.

Part of getting the site ready for the new Raising Cane’s building included tearing down the former bank building that sat on the property in between a McDonald’s fast-food restaurant and a Chili’s Grill & Bar.

It turns out, there’s a lot more that goes into tearing down a building than you might think. A video about our Raising Cane’s site and the process for removing the bank building was recently posted to Instagram and — if we’re being honest — we learned a thing or three.

We’ve shared the post below because we thought some of you might find it interesting as well.

Once the bank building is leveled, work will be done to get the property ready for new construction. This will include grading the site if needed and rearranging or installing underground utilities. Only then can “vertical” construction on the new Raising Cane’s begin.
