Car wash reopens in Ashburn under Flagship banner

One of Ashburn’s two shuttered car washes is back in action after the transition to the new Flagship Carwash brand was completed. We’re talking about the car wash at Pipeline Plaza.

The former Dr. Car Wash location was purchased by the Flagship Carwash company last year, with plans to quickly reopen it as a Flagship express car wash. The “express” means that there is a tunnel your vehicle moves through to clean the exterior, and then a row of free vacuums for customers to clean the interior if they so wish.

Equipment delays kept the car wash closed longer than anticipated, but this week, Flagship officially announced its open again.

Flagship has also reopened the former Dulles 28 Car Wash as an express wash under the new name. And the former Ashburn Car Wash at Junction Plaza is expected to reopen as an express wash in June.

As The Burn has reported, these various express car wash locations are part of Flagship’s hub-and-spoke model. Like on a wheel, the express washes are the spokes for quick washes whenever needed, while the large Flagship Carwash across from One Loudoun is the hub, where customers can go for a deeper exterior and interior cleaning by a large staff.

Locally, Flagship also has a “hub” full-service car wash on Catoctin Circle SE in Leesburg.
