Massaya Lebanese Restaurant opens Friday in Ashburn

A new full-service Lebanese restaurant is opening its doors in Ashburn this weekend. It’s called Massaya Lebanese Restaurant & Bar and The Burn has you first look at the menu.

The Burn first told you about Massaya last September. The restaurant has taken a spot on the lower level of the Goose Creek Village shopping center off Sycolin Road. That’s down the steps from Social House and Velocity Wings.

The menu features a wide variety of appetizers — including Spicy Hummus, Meat and Cheese Sambouseks and something Foul Mudammas, which we want to try for the name alone.

Main entrees include Grilled Lamb and Beef Kababs, Chicken and Beef Schwarma and a Mixed Grill Platter.

There are also salads, wraps and desserts, plus a full bar with specialty cocktails. You can see the complete food menu below.

The restaurant, which has an indoor dining room and bar plus an outdoor patio, is starting with a soft opening on Friday, May 13, from 4:30 to 10 p.m. A soft opening is a time for a new business to get its feet wet — making sure systems are working and staffing are properly trained. An official or grand opening are usually scheduled down the line.
