Video shows suspect in shopping center car break-ins

The Loudoun Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of car break-ins that took place over the weekend — some of them at area shopping centers in Sterling. And a video camera caught the crook in action.

According to the SO, the incidents took place on Saturday evening, June 18. That’s when multiple vehicles were broken into in and around Potomac Run Plaza, the Dulles Town Center mall, the Regal Center off Route 7, the plaza where Sweetwater Tavern and Olive Garden are, and elsewhere.

The suspect got away with purses, backpacks, and electronics. When the victims came back to their vehicles, they found damaged windows and items taken from inside.

If you can identify the suspect or have any information regarding this case, you are asked to contact Detective James Breeden of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at .
