The latest Starbucks in Loudoun County officially opened its doors Tuesday morning. We’re talking about the new coffee shop at the Shops at Compass Creek development in Leesburg.
Starbucks is the latest new food-focused business to open in the center next door the Leesburg Walmart next to the town’s airport.
Bruster’s Real Ice Cream opened at Compass Creek a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Chipotle, Popeyes, Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, and Buffalo Wing Factory are all in various stages of getting built out and/or preparing to open.
The new Starbucks, which includes a drive-thru lane and a dining room inside, is currently operating with limited hours — closing at 2 p.m.
Employees told us this was due to staffing issues and that they expect to expand hours as they are able to hire more people.

Hey this is actually pretty useful for youth sports parents making early weekend morning trips to the Sportsplex and other fields on a regular basis.
