Kung Fu Tea opens new Ashburn Village location

The latest Kung Fu Tea location in Loudoun County has opened its doors. The new bubble tea and beverage shop (seen above) is located in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center.

For months now, The Burn has been telling you about a slew of new Kung Fu Tea locations planned for Loudoun and they are finally starting to open.

A new one at Loudoun Station in Ashburn off Shellhorn Road opened less than a month ago. Now, the Ashburn Village store opened yesterday — Monday, July 11.

At least two more are in the works for the area. One will be on Diamond Lake Drive which is immediately adjacent to the Lansdowne Town Center shopping plaza.

The other is coming to the Dulles Landing shopping center just north of Highway 50 in the South Riding area. There are two other KFT locations in Loudoun County — both in Sterling along Route 7.

Meanwhile, Kung Fu Tea has a sister brand called TKK Fried Chicken. There are several locations in the Baltimore area and one in Richmond, but none in Northern Virginia so far.

As Loudoun County’s leading source for fried chicken news, The Burn has reached out to both the Kung Fu Tea HQ as well as Kung Fu Tea franchisees, but there are no apparent plans for a TKK in our area… yet.

I am personally ambivalent about boba tea, but I am more than happy for the wave of East Asian fried chicken places to continue. More please!
