Bed, Bath & Beyond in Leesburg marked for closure

The home decor and supplies brand Bed, Bath & Beyond has announced that it will close roughly 150 stores as part of efforts to stabilize its finances, according to a report from CNBC. And unfortunately, one of those stores is right here in Loudoun County.

Per a list released from Bed, Bath & Beyond, the Leesburg store — located at 532 Fort Evans Road — is one of the locations on the chopping block.

That store is in the shopping center known as Fort Evans Plaza II, home to Buffalo Wild Wings, a Walgreens and — perhaps not coincidentally — an upcoming HomeGoods store, which also offers home decor and knickknacks.

The Burn just broke the HomeGoods news yesterday, based on construction industry documents. You can see that report here.

No word on when the Leesburg Bed, Bath & Beyond store will close. And so far, only 56 of the anticipated 150 closing stores have been announced. Thus, it’s unclear if any other Loudoun County or Northern Virginia locations are also in danger.

Haven’t set foot in that store since BB&B went political.

Same with me. When they decided to go political, I decided to stop shopping with them and I used to go all the time.

Hey BJ, who cares what your nonsensical political views are. The store is junk that’s why it failed, NOT because you “boycotted it”

I haven’t been in a BB&B store since the manager almost killed me by pushing a KitchenAid Stand Mixer on my head. They were on the opposite side of the shelve working on inventory and pushed the mixer off the top shelf. The mixer it my cart and missed me by inches. I went into fright or flight method, after I calmed down they sat me in the bridal registry section by the front door so everyone walking in could see me. The head of security came for the other store kept trying to hold my hand and take my pulse. He was wanted to drive me home. I refused, who would want to be taken home by a stranger. After getting home I received harassing calls from their insurance company telling me I wasn’t hurt and couldn’t file a claim and I should of taken that ride home for the security man. I told her I was already scared for my life , I wasn’t stupid to accept a ride from a stranger. Told her never call me again. Then years later I was working at Kohls with a girl who used to work for BB&B and told her what happened to me, her reply was ” OMG you are the one! They tell that story to every new hire.” I never received anything from BB&B. Never a official apology, nothing. Maybe they should pay me copy rights to my story they keep telling.
