Foster’s Grille in South Riding officially opens today

The return of Foster’s Grille to Loudoun County will be complete today — Wednesday, September 21 — with the official 11 a.m. opening of a new location in the South Riding Market Square shopping center.

That’s the Giant and Home Depot anchored center off Loudoun County Parkway just south of Highway 50. Foster’s went into the spot where a PetValu pet store used to be found, across the street from Ford’s Fish Shack.

The Burn first broke the Foster’s news last December. Since then, the space has been under construction to turn it into the latest location for the popular local chain known for its hamburgers, wings and milkshakes. The restaurant held a soft opening Tuesday evening.

“We’ve been working to bring Foster’s great food and family atmosphere to South Riding and Loudoun County for quite some time, and we’re so thrilled to finally be here,” said Foster’s Grille President Mike Cerny in a press release. “Foster’s is the place where friends can enjoy the big game, co-workers can meet for happy hour, and families find something for even the pickiest little eaters. We think the community is going to love it.”

The first Foster’s opened back in 1999 and today, there are 12 locations found in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Florida. There was one many years ago in Ashburn, which is still remembered fondly by some locals.
