The Sweet Frog frozen yogurt shop in the Ashbrook Commons Plaza shopping center is planning to hop a few doors down into a new storefront.
That’s the Harris Teeter-anchored shopping plaza near the intersection of Route 7 and Ashburn Village Boulevard. It’s also home to many other businesses including a HomeGoods store, the Ashburn Village Inn and the new Rumble Boxing, which recently opened.
Sweet Frog is currently located in a 1,900 s.f. space along a breezeway in the shopping center. That’s just across from Jersey Mike’s. But next year, they are expected to move roughly four doors down to a spot next to the Virginia ABC store.
The new location will be a bit smaller — roughly 1,200 s.f. While we don’t know the reasons for the move, with a smaller footprint, rent is lower, utility costs are lower and upkeep costs are likely lower.
No word on what new business might take the prominent spot being vacated by Sweet Frog. It’s currently being marketed to new tenants.
