Sign goes up at Lululemon store in One Loudoun

The sign at the new Lululemon store at One Loudoun in Ashburn has been installed over the entranceway, as construction continues inside the store.

The Burn first broke the Lululemon news back in July. The international athletic apparel retailer is one of a bunch of prominent tenants coming to a new retail block at the lifestyle center off Route 7 at Loudoun County Parkway.

Other new or pending arrivals include Warby Parker, SweetGreen, Madison Reed, LaserAway, South Block, and the recently opened Sephora store.

The temporary signage on the front of the facade mentions a Lululemon “pop up” which has left some passers-by wondering what that means. A pop up store can sometimes be a temporary store that comes and goes depending on inventory, the season or other factors.

Pop up stores can also be trial runs for a retailer to see how a store performs before deciding whether to open in that location permanently. And finally, a pop up store could be something a brand offers while a permanent location is under construction.

Regardless, we contacted management at One Loudoun who assured us they expect Lululemon to be a longterm tenant at the center. We’ve also reached out to Lululemon HQ for more details.

One other note — temporary stores don’t usually have expensive permanent signage installed like in the photo above.

No official word yet when the Lululemon at One Loudoun will open. Early 2023 seems likely.
