Leesburg getting a Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken too

And Leesburg makes three. For the third time in less than a month, we have news about another Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken restaurant coming to Loudoun County.

The latest location is in Leesburg. It will be taking a 2,400 s.f. end unit in the Leesburg Plaza, next door to Giovanni’s New York Pizza.

Leesburg Plaza is the large shopping center on Market Street, home to a Giant grocery store as well as Planet Fitness, Roy Rogers, Party City and many other restaurants and retailers.

As The Burn has been reporting, Hangry Joe’s launched in the Richmond area back in 2021 with plans to expand rapidly throughout Northern Virginia as well as many other regions.

The founder of Joe’s is the same businessman who created the Sweet Frog frozen yogurt chain. He has seized on the popularity of the Nashville Hot style of chicken sandwiches and is finding great success.

Back in November, we reported about a Hangry Joe’s location in the works for the Cameron Chase Village Center — next to the Ashburn Ice Rink. We also told you about a Hangry Joe’s coming to Sterling — to the Town Center at Sterling plaza. You can see the Ashburn details here and the Sterling report here.

We knew Leesburg was being targeted as well — and now we know that they have found their spot in the Leesburg Plaza. An interesting note for those of you who like inside baseball stuff — the same property management company represents all three of the sites that Hangry Joe’s has chosen.

An online listing for the Leesburg location indicates they are aiming for a February opening, so we will see if that stays on track.
