At long last, the new &pizza location at One Loudoun in Ashburn is ready for business. If all stays on track, the popular pizza joint will open tomorrow, Wednesday, January 11.
It was way back in August 2021 when word broke that regional pizza brand was brining its latest location to One Loudoun. The news came just days after Loudoun’s first &pizza opened at the Dulles 28 Centre in Sterling.
Work on the One Loudoun store — which took over the spot left vacant by Spinfire Pizza — started in late 2021, and an opening was anticipated in mid-2022. But that didn’t happen and, as the months crept by, The Burn got lots of emails from readers wondering when & would open.
Then last week, word arrived that the new One Loudoun store was ready. Training with the new staff is underway this week and now we’ve been told the opening is set for Wednesday.
&pizza (pronounced “and pizza”) got its start in 2012 here in the DC area. Today, there are more than 50 locations in five states and DC, according to the brand’s website.
They are best known for making oblong-shaped, customizable pizzas — similar in shape to a flatbread — that bake in high-speed ovens. You can see the full &pizza menu here.
