A new Korean BBQ and hot pot restaurant chain is making its first moves into the greater Northern Virginia market. It’s called KPOT and they are working on initial locations in Falls Church and Woodbridge.
KPOT blends two popular trends in Asian cuisine at the moment — the Korean BBQ concept where you cook your own meats on a grill in the center of the table, along with hot pot where you cook meets and veggies in a steaming pot of soup-like broth.
The menu — which features cocktails, plus all the various meats, seafoods and vegetables — is 18 pages long. You can check it out here.
The KPOT chain consists of roughly 16 open locations with dozens more in the pipeline across 26 states. There are four in the works for Virginia so far. Besides Falls Church and Woodbridge, they also have Norfolk and Roanoke on the list.
There is already one KPOT in the greater DC area, according to the company’s website. That’s the location they have in Rockville, Md.
