Slapfish seafood restaurant closed at One Loudoun

A fast-casual seafood restaurant at One Loudoun has closed its doors — but it’s unclear if it’s permanent or only temporary. We’re talking about Slapfish, which bills itself as a “modern seafood shack.”

Slapfish opened at One Loudoun back in 2018 in a corner spot across the street from Eddie Merlot’s steakhouse and kitty corner from Matchbox. It’s part of a small national chain with roughly 18 locations in seven states.

But for the past week or so, the restaurant has been closed. Everything looks normal inside, but the lights are turned off and the door locked up tight.

It’s unclear what the future holds for Slapfish’s only location in Virginia. A spokesperson for One Loudoun said they believe the restaurant is closed for maintenance. And the online Google listing says Slapfish is “temporarily closed.”

That being said — a look at the official Slapfish website shows the One Loudoun store has been removed from the list of locations nationwide.

We’ve sent messages to Slapfish’s corporate HQ looking for more information, but have gotten no response so far. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.
