Loyal Companion closing all Northern Virginia stores

A national pet supply chain called Loyal Companion has announced that it is closing all of its stores. This includes multiple stores around Northern Virginia, including two locations in Loudoun County.

“With a heavy heart, we want to inform you that we’ve made the tough decision to close our Loyal Companion stores,” the company said in a statement. “We have loved serving the community and supporting you on your pet wellness journey.”

According to the company’s website, Loyal Companion has locations in Ashburn at Junction Plaza, as well as in Middleburg. There are also multiple locations in other Fairfax County and other NoVa communities.

In store sales have already started as the company works to liquidate its inventory. The announcement said stores will be open through the end of February.

Only 64 reviews on the junction plaza location tells me they weren’t open for very long. Methinks some businessman had expectations too high.

Sad to see this go away as they always had unique items for your pets. They also did a lot for local rescues and charities.
