Budget airline at Dulles debuting direct flights to London Gatwick

A new budget airline is preparing to debut at Dulles International Airport and it will bring the first direct flights between Dulles and London’s Gatwick Airport.

Today, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced that Norse Atlantic Airways will start low-price, nonstop service between the two airports.

The flights are scheduled to begin on June 1 and will fly every day of the week except for Tuesday.

Norse Atlantic is a Norwegian-based airline that launched in 2021 with a fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft. Its focus is on flights between Europe and North America.

“Passengers on the new route will travel aboard Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft configured to carry 338 passengers in Economy and Premium Economy cabins,” the announcement read.

The launch of the Norse Atlantic flights will mark the first time ever that Washington Dulles is connected to London Gatwick.
