Potomac Taphouse restaurant and bar headed to Loudoun

A new restaurant and bar called the Potomac Taphouse is in the works for the area — and it’s taking over the space vacated by a popular Vietnamese restaurant.

We’re talking about the former Saigon Outcast spot in the University Commerce Center off George Washington Boulevard in Ashburn.

That’s the retail and office center on the north side of Route 7 that is also home to Taco Zocalo and the Wicket Door Pub.

The Potomac Taphouse team is working on renovating the Saigon Outcast space to turn it into their new concept.

The restaurant will include a beer wall (which Saigon Outcast was also famous for) along with a large bar and dining room.

The folks behind Potomac Taphouse already have familiarity with the local restaurant scene. They are also the owners of Massaya Lebanese Restaurant & Bar that opened last year in Ashburn’s Goose Creek Village shopping center.

A menu and an official opening date for Potomac Taphouse haven’t been revealed yet, but we’re told they could be ready for customers as soon as April.

This will be the second new restaurant in the center in recent months. The Fountain Grill opened right next door earlier this year.
